  • My love for traveling on two wheels had its origins early in my childhood. My father loved motorcycles. I remember seeing old pictures of my parents riding 2-up, cruising around the Philippines with his grupo. Since I was a kid, I've owned different kinds of bikes. And to this day, I continue to love all types of cycling, and of course– scootering! From Big Wheels to bicycles, scooters just make getting there– faster! In that sense, I guess I've never grown up. My ride is a 1976 Vespa Turismo Speciale, which I've had since 2003. She was fully restored to her original condition, then shipped here from Italy, complete with original spec'd color, "Red Katmandu". The 150cc's in her are plenty strong for riding 2-up. She had her fame in a window display, a commercial and a magazine. Now, she resides with me, in Weehawken, NJ.

Scootering has been an extension to just about everything I love: being with family and friends; exploring the outdoors; putting around NYC, etc. It just makes everything that much more fun! You can find me on the highway at times, doing my 15-mile commute to my graphic design job. It's a fast trip, since I'm not affected by long traffic jams. I get a kick out of people's faces when they see me breeze on by. This easy way to travel was the sole reason for me to purchase a scooter, making trips back and forth to the city effortless. Every chance I get to ride is my solace– from ridin' with the other MUCHACHOS to rippin' up highways at 50mph (believe it!) or simply taking my future wife cruising for tiramisu. The open road is an invitation, a front row seat, an in-your-face view of life! On my Vespa, there's no taking a back seat to the unpredictable! Life: chew into the fat and savor the flavor! ÁOlZ!
