  • I've been riding scooters for over 4 years. This is my first bike. I've never had one, never thought of buying one or had the desire to own one. How did I end up with a scooter? That's a good question. I guess it was out of desperation. I was fed up with the subway and looking for a better way to commute. At first, I wanted to buy a motorcycle because I already had a passion for MC's since I was a kid. I started doing research online for something inexpensive and economical. Scooters came up on the search but I didn't give it much thought. Then one day I saw a couple riding a scooter in Soho. They were both smiling and laughing just like in a Vespa ad– they looked so happy. From that point on I started to visualize myself on a Vespa. I went online and did a search for scooters and found an awesome group of people who walked me through the process of choosing a scooter.

My best moment was the very first day of the 2003 Gotham Rally where I met up with everyone from the NY Scooter group, matched names with faces and rode through Central Park at night. The longest trip I ever made on my bike was to Narrowsburg, NY which took about six hours from Manhattan cause everybody's bike was breaking down except mine:-). When I'm not riding I'm either hanging with my daughters or home playing guitar. Oh and just in case you're wondering why I christened my bike "The Little Lady" the name was inspired by my mother who my sister refers to as the Little Lady.
